Are we throwing the Black victim card at the table again?

>> Tuesday, February 24, 2009

The New York Post has published a cartoon which has drawn Al Sharpton and others indicating the cartoon portrayed by Sean Delonas as inciting racial attacks on President Obama. Although I must confess when I first heard it, because it was coming from Al, I thought was this another black victim card being thrown, but seeing the cartoon I have my eye brows raised a little.

If I am to give Sean Delonas the benefit of the doubt, I am still trying to understand what was going through his mind when he looked at his final product, and decided to bring it to the editors (whom I will save the blog readers time to question). Even the idea of a gruesome ape being shot by it self should have been a turn off even if you are so under a stone and didn't see the implications with the chimp association. As much as Obama didn't write the stimulus bill, you ask the average person today about stimulus bill and Obama comes to mind. People wake up and smell the coffee. This cartoon is ridiculously filled with room for questioning. How could they have missed it.

Younus Khan eyes Brian Lara's record

West Indian fans are wondering if they will get up to hear the Prince's record has been broken and by whom, No not Ricky Point, no not Sachin Tendukar, no not Matthew Hayden, ok let's drop in a West Indian, no not Chris Gayle but by Pakistani Younus Khan.
Yep this came from nowhere. It seems that after preparing what I'll call a concrete based pitch, this batsman paradise at Karachi has totaled a whopping one thousand two hundred (1200) runs in the first innings which comprised of at the moment a triple century and two double centuries. Wow, what a run feast. Now everyone is wondering will he make the 401? Well, I believe Lara's record is no easy milestone to cross, and even with a concrete pitch, Younus will have to dig hard, but he claims his focus is batting 40 overs but everyone knows, when a batsman reaches 300 theses days, there is just one thing on his mind

We'll wait to see.

NASA's rocket takes spiral turn

Little outside the coast of Antarctica, NASA's 273 million satellite crashed back to Earth early this Tuesday morning approximately three (3) minutes after launch. Ok let's do some maths, so thats 273/3 gives us 91 million a minute, 1.52 million a second in this economical downtime.

The intent of satellite's was to provide readings on CO2 global emissions and the effects it would have on the earth's climate. Now it's back to the drawing board to look at optimizing this 273 million.

Now talk about "liquidizing" our assets. NASA you gave us a good illustration but this won't phase your piece of the pie in the budget. We all know the benefits of research even if it takes a little turn for the worst here or there.

Rhianna maybe seeing something I'm, sorry, the world's not

>> Friday, February 20, 2009

Last Night TMZ's website posted a picture of what they portray to be Rhianna after the alleged brawl with boyfriend Chris Brown. As shocking as the picture depicts the blows to Rhianna image comes the shocking news being circulated that Rhianna says "She still loves him" and the couple are working on their differences.

Oh boy, Now Rhianna does not fit the category of woman with no job depending on boyfriend for financial security nor does she fit the description of woman with life threats depending on security guard weight lifter boyfriend for physical security. Not that these are any valid excuse to be in any abusive relationship, but it would give me some thoughts to consider for the probable mental trail of her thoughts. So I am yet again in my state of bewilderment as I look at the question why do women remain in abusive relationship? Perhaps it's all a rumor, and this whole story of Rhianna and Chris is a farce. There was no brawl and the images are all false. So why I am puzzling myself over this.

People! some things are just not worth brain or emotional trauma. I hope we all learn this sooner than later.

Facebook Reverts "Terms of Use"

Facebook attempts to what I'll call "subconsciously" change the Terms of Use Policy to include the rights to user's uploaded content (photos, wall posts etc) was met with expected disgust by disgruntled facebook users (incl. myself) and so they have reverted to their old policy for now.

What's happening in our world today? Facebook this is your second blunder. Get it straight! Facebook users want to share with their personal social networking friends. Not to every wit and fancy you would desire or want. Then why would we have been attracted to personal sharing in the first place?

Facebook. get your act together. If you see something you like, send in your permission slip request or let us go to the competition!

For more details on this you can check CNN http://edition.cnn.com/2009/TECH/02/18/facebook.reversal/index.html
