Honourable Usain Bolt

>> Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Ok so the Government tentatively plans to honours Usain Bolt with

  • Ambassador at Large and accorded with Full Diplomat Status
  • Order of Jamaica
  • Rename Highway 2000 to Usain Bolt Highway
Ok they say don't scatter roses while I am gone but also mind how yuh pick rose thorns.

Examining them one by one, OK, so "Ambassador at Large", he's already a public showcase for Jamaica and let's just make it official, he can flash his passport and walk through Immigration. Let's make it legit!

OJ Honorable - yikes. Ok so we won't wait till he goes through another Olympics Drugs free, or has gain some more maturity and experience on the world circuit as he builds his professional repertoire? We don't mind the precedence we are setting for other athletes looking on or the effects it may have on those retired mmmmmh. Do you think we felt pressured the Queen will Knight him before we show appreciation of this nature. Is there some other award we could bestow upon St Leo to be safe???

Rename the oh so famous highway 2000, one of PJ Patterson's legacy with the oh so unfortunate Toll increases which I hope the hikes in toll won't be a reflection of Usain Speed if it occurs. What about the Trelawny Stadium? An erected Statue at a round about or monumental place? What about part the newly paved North Coast stretch being worked on like the Mobay to Trelawny stretch?

Ok don't get me wrong the Gentleman deserves alot of praise for his achievements and has inspired many and I definitely gonna get Micah on tracks soon, but are we stopping to think just for a sec here.

Ok so say I what say you?

United another airline to implement additional fees for Overweight passegers

>> Monday, April 20, 2009

United Airlines becomes the recent air carrier to add fees to passenger whose body structure requires they take up more than one seat space.

The first time I heard of talks of charging persons based on weight I was a bit shock, I guess so it is with some new concepts that come up, but when I review it again as United decision is now in the spotlight, I can see the reasoning behind the decision.

1. The more weight a plane carries, it increases the fuel burn (chi ching $$$)
2. If a passenger takes up two seat space, that loss revenue (chi ching $$$)
3. If a passenger takes up 1 1/2 seat space that infringement on my personal space and less comfortable ride for the adjacent passenger.

Persons in support of the obese passengers who wish these fees be waived suggest the airline should build seats to accommodate larger frame passengers.

The effects of this mean, more spending for airlines to upgrade their planes, and by so doing means u loosing seat space which again in turn means loss of revenue (chi ching $$).
So guess what I say, even if you build special seats, then folks got to pay for the special seat luxury.

So if I am a slim person who wants this special seat made initially for overweight passenger I can get it if I pay the additional money. So what's the big fuss gentle people. Whether we put in bigger seats or u get two seats, someone's going to have to pay for the loss of revenue.

Get use to the fees on our pockets that's coming.

Three truly terrible things to tell

>> Wednesday, March 25, 2009

1. a tall tale
Has anyone ever made false statements at you? To have your character under question is an awful experience.
Psalms 109:2, "For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue."
Or has anyone swindled your assets by false statements?
Proverbs 21:6, "The getting of treasures by a lying tongue is a vanity tossed to and fro of them that seek death."

2. a taunting remark
Has anyone made a rude comment about you or has insulted you? How distasteful and humiliating.
Ephesian 5:4, "Let there be no filthiness nor foolish talk nor crude joking, which are out of place, but instead let there be thanksgiving"

3. a "tie out" promise
Have you ever been disappointed as your plans were built with the expectation someone will come through for you? How displaced you feel when commitments are not made.
Matthew 5:37, "But let your communication be, Yea, yes; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil".

What's the message being sent Forgiveness or Foolish?

>> Tuesday, March 3, 2009

After three weeks from the alleged facial blows to Rihanna, People Magazine reports the two are reunited. It's said that P Diddy arranged or allowed for Chris Brown and Rihanna to make use of his Star island Mansion home in Miami this weekend where Chris Brown was spotted Jet skiing and enjoying himself.

Chris Brown has not been formerly charged but will be arraigned this Thursday but if Rihanna will not be cooperating or pressing charges it's hardly likely the R&B Hip Hop star Brown will be spending time behind bars but between the sheets.

Is this a teenage love hangover? What's the message being sent?

Are we throwing the Black victim card at the table again?

>> Tuesday, February 24, 2009

The New York Post has published a cartoon which has drawn Al Sharpton and others indicating the cartoon portrayed by Sean Delonas as inciting racial attacks on President Obama. Although I must confess when I first heard it, because it was coming from Al, I thought was this another black victim card being thrown, but seeing the cartoon I have my eye brows raised a little.

If I am to give Sean Delonas the benefit of the doubt, I am still trying to understand what was going through his mind when he looked at his final product, and decided to bring it to the editors (whom I will save the blog readers time to question). Even the idea of a gruesome ape being shot by it self should have been a turn off even if you are so under a stone and didn't see the implications with the chimp association. As much as Obama didn't write the stimulus bill, you ask the average person today about stimulus bill and Obama comes to mind. People wake up and smell the coffee. This cartoon is ridiculously filled with room for questioning. How could they have missed it.

Younus Khan eyes Brian Lara's record

West Indian fans are wondering if they will get up to hear the Prince's record has been broken and by whom, No not Ricky Point, no not Sachin Tendukar, no not Matthew Hayden, ok let's drop in a West Indian, no not Chris Gayle but by Pakistani Younus Khan.
Yep this came from nowhere. It seems that after preparing what I'll call a concrete based pitch, this batsman paradise at Karachi has totaled a whopping one thousand two hundred (1200) runs in the first innings which comprised of at the moment a triple century and two double centuries. Wow, what a run feast. Now everyone is wondering will he make the 401? Well, I believe Lara's record is no easy milestone to cross, and even with a concrete pitch, Younus will have to dig hard, but he claims his focus is batting 40 overs but everyone knows, when a batsman reaches 300 theses days, there is just one thing on his mind

We'll wait to see.

NASA's rocket takes spiral turn

Little outside the coast of Antarctica, NASA's 273 million satellite crashed back to Earth early this Tuesday morning approximately three (3) minutes after launch. Ok let's do some maths, so thats 273/3 gives us 91 million a minute, 1.52 million a second in this economical downtime.

The intent of satellite's was to provide readings on CO2 global emissions and the effects it would have on the earth's climate. Now it's back to the drawing board to look at optimizing this 273 million.

Now talk about "liquidizing" our assets. NASA you gave us a good illustration but this won't phase your piece of the pie in the budget. We all know the benefits of research even if it takes a little turn for the worst here or there.
